As of 1st September 2021, the Brussels-based Think Tank Europe Jacques Delors has a new Director of Studies and Development, Isabelle Garzon.
Isabelle Garzon has been an official of the European Commission for 26 years. She was a member of Pascal Lamy's cabinet from 1999 to 2004, thereafter holding senior positions in several Directorates General of the Commission, the latest being in maritime and fisheries.
Isabelle will therefore provide solid expertise in our research areas: international trade, maritime affairs, agriculture, and food. Her extensive experience in European legislative and budgetary processes and in international negotiations is another key aspect she brings.
Geneviève Pons, Director General and Vice-president of Europe Jacques Delors said that “Isabelle’s arrival and her responsibilities are a sign of a new impetus for Europe Jacques Delors, whose staff and activities have grown rapidly since its creation in early 2020”.
