    Timothy has over 20 years of in-house and consultancy experience providing strategy, reputation, crisis, public affairs, stakeholder relations and financial communications advice to the top leadership of major public and private sector organisations in South Africa and the UK.

    His sector experience includes mining, energy, professional services, ICT and telecoms, banking, education, and investment promotion.           

    He is Brunswick’s Energy & Resources sector and Public Affairs practice lead for South Africa and runs the Young Leaders in Mining Programme at the annual Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town. He chairs Mining Indaba’s “Next Gen” advisory board.

    During the 2020-21 pandemic he was the communications, advocacy, and stakeholder relations lead on the steerco of Business for South Africa (B4SA) which directed organised business’ national partnership with Government and civil society to combat Covid-19’s impacts, and then implement the national vaccination programme. 

    Prior to joining Brunswick, he worked with Brand South Africa, the Chamber of Mines (now Minerals Council of SA), Impala Platinum, Wesizwe Platinum, SAICA and Coca-Cola’s 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign; and in the UK, The Learning Trust, English Partnerships and HSBCIB.
