Marta Messa is Secretary General of the global grassroots Slow Food movement. United World College Alumni, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Studies (University of Warwick, UK) and a master’s degree in Economics and Politics (University of Freiburg, Germany). She joined Slow Food in 2010. In July 2022, she was elected Secretary General of Slow Food and since then has dedicated herself intensively to the of the movement worldwide.
