Climate action in the US and in the EU: Same objectives, different pathways
With this first publication by Renaud Lassus, whom we thank for having joined the cohort of our associate researchers, Europe Jacques Delors intends to take a look at climate action on both sides of the Atlantic. To better understand the opportunities to be exploited, but also the tensions to be avoided or, at the least reduced, as illustrated by the debate on the recent American legislation known as the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
Renaud Lassus offers us here a conceptual framework that he has forged during his long experience in the United States to better understand our differences and to nourish a dialogue that is now essential. We will continue to explore this topic in the future, as is our tradition, to identify obstacles to a more decisive European action to combat climate change, and to submit our proposals to public debate.
