Jacob Kean-Hammerson is a campaigner for EIA’s Ocean programme, focusing on the negotiations towards a new global plastics treaty. While working on the treaty at large, Jacob has a particular focus on plastics production, means of implementation and equitable engagement of stakeholders. Jacob joined EIA in 2021, initially working across both the climate and ocean campaigns. Before joining EIA, Jacob spent four years developing and implementing multi-stakeholder coastal ecosystem restoration projects in the UK and related policy issues. Jacob holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Sussex.
