Project Assistant

Helena van Thiel joined Europe Jacques Delors as a Project Assistant in March 2024. She supports the team’s work on the greening of the EU trade policy as well as the “GRAPE” (Greening agri-food policy in Europe) project. Previously, she interned at the German development agency (GIZ), where she worked in the private sector cooperation programme.

Helena holds a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Political Science from Sciences Po and the Freie Universität Berlin. Both at Science Po’s Franco-German campus in Nancy and the Otto Suhr Institute of Political Science in Berlin, she specialised in the European Union.

She is fluent in English, German and French.
